Experience with the Diagnosis and Therapy of Kawasaki’s Disease in Children
Zkušenosti s diagnostikoua terapií Kawasakiho chorobyu dětí
V rámci diferenciální diagnostiky protrahované horečky u dětí je nutno pomýšlet na Kawasa-kiho chorobu. A to zejména u kojenců a batolat. Včasná diagnostika a terapeutická opatřenív podobě intravenózně podávaných velkých dávek imunoglobulinů mohou zabránit rozvojipostižení koronárních arterií. Vyšší cena imunoglobulinů je v těchto případech vyváženasnížením rizika závažných komplikací. Opakované sonografické vyšetření koronárního řečištěje v některých klinicky nejasných případech nezbytné. V diagnostice onemocnění je nutnozohlednit současná kritéria, která umožňují diagnostikovat formy choroby inkompletní neboprobíhající atypicky.

Within the framework of differential diagnosis of protracted fever in children it is important toconsider also Kawasaki’s disease. This pertains in particular to infants and toddlers. Earlydiagnosis and therapeutic provisions such as intravenous administration of large doses ofimmunoglobulins may prevent the development of affections of the coronary arteries. Thehigher price of immunoglobulins is in that case balanced by reduced risk of serious complications.Repeated sonographic examinations of the coronary circulation is in some clinically obscurecases essential. In the diagnosis of the disease ii is important to take account of criteria whichmake it possible to diagnose forms of the disease which are incomplete or have an atypicalcourse.
