Rehabilitation of the Lower Innervation Area of the Facial Nerve- Semiactive Suspension

Overview
Surgical rehabilitation of the lower innervation area of the facial nerve is the last, though impercet, solution of prolonged deficiency of the expression of the lower part of the facecaused by paresis of the facial nerve. The authors describe the indications, surgical technique incl.controversial surgery and the initial postoperative results assembled in four patients. As a basisthey use the anatomical and functional situation of a paretic facial expression whereby theyemphasize critical evaluation of surgical possibilities to improve the situation.
