Impaired Sense of Smell in Child Age
Poruchy čuchu v detskom veku
Poruchy čuchu predstavujú širokú paletu chorobných jednotiek, v ktorých diferenciálnejdiagnóze treba zvažovať predovšetkým sinonazálne ochorenia, ale aj ochorenia postihujúce periférnyči centrálny nervový systém.V klinickej praxi sa s nimi najčastejšie stretne otorinolaryngológ.Hoci obtiaže pacienta s poruchou čuchu sú nezriedka podceňované, môže sa za nimi skrývať vážnesystémové ochorenie. Práca referuje o prípade dvoch pacientov s poruchou čuchu, ktorú smediagnostikovali na klinike LF UK a DFNsP v Bratislave, pričom v jednom prípade bola poruchačuchu prvou manifestáciou Kallmannovho syndrómu.

Impaired sense of smell comprises a wide range of pathological entities. In thedifferential diagnosis in particular sinonasal diseasemust be taken into account as well as diseasesaffecting the peripheral or central nervous system. In clinical practice they are encountered mostoften by the otorhinolaryngologist. Although these complaints are often underrated they may becaused by serious systemic disease. The author describes two patients with an impaired sense ofsmell diagnosed at the Comenius University Bratislava. In one case the impaired sense of smell wasthe first manifestation of Kallmann’s syndrome.
