Cancer Patient Admitted to ICU

The most frequent admission was due to severe sepsis or septic shock, others wereadmitted because of prolonged perioperative management, left heart failure, COPD exacerbation, ARDS. At first 24 hours the mean TISS value was30 and SOFA score was 7, all patients were mechanically ventilated. ICU mortality was 28.9 %, overall hospital mortality 44.7 %. 21 patients (55.3 %of all) were discharged home, during 3-month follow up they stayed alive and without readmission.
