Overview
Non-invasive mycotic sinusitis is a relatively common inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, with increasing incidence over the past twenty years. Causes of this increase are not fully understood. While not life-threatening, it can be locally destructive and lead to local complications. Therefore, it is still necessary to pay attention to it. Non-invasive mycotic sinusitis is categorized into allergic fungal sinusitis, fungus ball, and saprophytic fungal sinusitis. Endoscopic sinus surgery is an essential part of treatment.
