Overview
Based on many years of experience with working with people with dementia, the Czech Alzheimer Society (hereinafter ČALS) developed the Vážka certification system, which is designed for facilities providing specialized care. With five years of experience and visits at over thirty residential and outpatient service providers focused on people suffering from dementia, ČALS is gathering the data necessary for the future direction of principles of care as well as the certification system itself. Since 2009 Vážka has been a registered trademark. It helps improve cooperation between ČALS contact places and at the same time it provides an overview of use of the Vážka status, in the past often used by facilities not cooperating with ČALS.
