Summary

Dear Readers,

Welcome to the pages of the December issue of the journal, Listy klinické logopedie, which is unusual in many ways.

First of all, the main topic to connect most of the articles is missing. This is not a lack of inspiration on our part, we already have two main topics ready for you for next year, namely Alternative and Augmentative Communication and Cognitive-Communication Disorders. The reason for the absence of a main topic in this issue is the large number of interesting articles outside of main topics, which we received in the Editorial Office and which we did not want to deprive you of. That's why we decided that, once in a while, our magazine will be published without any main topic, but as a set of articles on various topics in our profession.

The second change compared to previous issues is the absence of interviews with patients, family members and experts. We have moved these to Facebook or one of the podcast platforms. Interviews with members of AKL CR and reviews of professional publications remain an exception, and we will continue to publish those here. We are currently searching for a form of publishing interviews which is not only attractive, but also interactive (audio podcasts appear an interesting format to us). Moving interviews outside the magazine's pages will present the possibility of their publication on an ongoing basis and outside of the two fixed dates for the publication of our magazine. This will also allow you to discuss the topics online and to ask questions directly.

We very much look forward to the new method of conducting interviews and we believe that this will help to raise awareness about our work among the general public. Keep your fingers crossed for us, because this is once again a big challenge for us!

At the same time, we ask authors to send manuscripts for the next issue of LKL, not only on the main topic of Alternative and Augmentative Communication, but also for the Varia section. The deadline for submission of manuscripts to the Editorial Office is 14 March 2022.
