Recommendation of the Society for Transfusion Medicine No. 20 Cold red blood cell antibodies testing before cardiothoracic surgery on cardiopulmonary bypass
Doporučení Společnosti pro transfuzní lékařství ČLS JEP č. STL_20 Vyšetřování chladových protilátek proti erytrocytům u pacientů před kardiochirurgickou operací v mimotělním oběhu
Chladové protilátky proti erytrocytům jsou obvykle klinicky nevýznamné. Nepříznivý klinický dopad však mohou mít u pacientů podstupujících kardiochirurgickou operaci s použitím mimotělního oběhu s ochlazováním pacientovy krve. Představujeme konsenzuální doporučení pro screening a titrování chladových antierytrocytových protilátek u těchto pacientů.

Overview
Cold red blood cell antibodies are usually clinically insignificant. However, they may have an adverse clinical impact in patients undergoing cardiac surgery with the use of cardiopulmonary bypass with cooling of the patient‘s blood. We present consensus recommendation for the screening and titration of cold red blood cell antibodies in these patients.
