Abuse of Buprenorphine Becomes a Problem of the Czech Republic
Zneužívání buprenorfinu se stává v České republice problémem
Buprenorfin ve formě Subutexu je podle dostupných dat v České republice nitrožilně zneužíván a pro řadu uživatelů se stal základní drogou. Tento problém by pronikavě zlepšilo vzdělávání lékařů, kteří buprenorfin předepisují, a zejména nahrazení Subutexu Suboxonem (kombinace buprenorfinu a naloxonu, která se nitrožilně nezneužívá). Registrační řízení Suboxonu v České republice však výrobce zmíněných preparátů dosud neinicioval.

Buprenorphine (Subutex) is according to epidemiological data and clinical experience abused on a large scale in the Czech Republic and for some drug dependent persons it becomes a principal intravenously applied drug. This problem can be resolved by more appropriate training of physicians who prescribe the drug and especially by the introduction of the combination buprenorphine and naloxone (Suboxone) which is not abused intravenously. The registration of Suboxone in the Czech Republic was not initiated by the manufactures so far.
