Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
Monitorace krevního tlaku v ambulantní praxi
Cílem sdělení je upřesnit indikace k provedení ambulantního monitorování krevního tlaku (ABPM) a podnítit využití této metody se správnou interpretaci výsledků v široké lékařské praxi. V ambulantní praxi je 24hodinové monitorování krevního tlaku dostupnou metodou. Správný výběr pacientů a přesná interpretace výsledků umožňuje cílené a kontrolované léčení hypertoniků, zabraňuje chybné terapii nemocných se syndromem bílého pláště, pomáhá kvalitně zhodnotit účinnost zavedené terapie s ohledem na fyziologické kolísání krevního tlaku během 24 hodin i farmakoterapeutické vlastnosti podávaných léků.

Overview
This article aims to specify indications for ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) and to encourage the use of this method, with the appropriate interpretation of results, in broad medical practice. The correct choice of patients and the precise interpretation of results enables targeted and controlled treatment of arterial hypertension, and prevents overuse of pharmacotherapy in patients with white coat syndrome. It helps to evaluate the efficacy of long-term medication regarding physiological daily arterial blood pressure variance and the pharmacokinetics of the prescribed drugs.
