Is there an Upper Age Limit for Hypolipidaemic Treatment?
Existuje horní věková hranicepro hypolipidemickou léčbu?
Autor seznamuje se 4 prospektivními studiemi léčby statiny zahrnujícími i podskupiny staršíchnemocných s ischemickou chorobou srdeční. Jednoznačně se ukazuje, že léčba statiny vede kesnížení koronárních příhod u starších nemocných s ICHS a snižuje výskyt ischemických mozkových cévních příhod.

The author presents data on 4 prospective studies with statins, elevating also elderly patientswith ischaemic heart disease (IHD). It was revealed that statin treatment leads to a reductionof coronary attacks in elderly patients with IHD and reduces also the incidence of ischaemiccerebrovascular attacks.
