Diabetická retinopatie
Diabetická retinopatie (DR) v současné době představuje jeden z nejzávažnějších problémůoftalmologie. Článek shrnuje aktuální znalosti o problematice tohoto onemocnění. Podávápřehled o patogenezi a patologicko-anatomickém obraze DR i o jejím dělení. Dále se zabývámožnostmi prevence a léčby diabetické retinopatie. Upozorňuje na důležitost těsné kompenzacecukrovky a vzájemné spolupráce diabetologa s oftalmologem při léčbě tohoto onemocnění.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is currently one of most challenging problems of ophthalmology. Thearticle summarizes the current concepts on DR. The author discuses the pathogenesis and thepathological-anatomic picture and provide DR classification. He points to the importance ofprevention, diabetes control and cooperation of the diabetiologists and ophthalmologists in thetreatment of DR.
