Hypophyseal-ovarian Axis in Obese Women
Hypofýzo-ovariální osau obézních žen
Přehledný článek zabývající se vztahem mezi ženskou obezitou a poruchami menstruačníhocyklu, rovněž i hormonálními změnami u obézních žen. Pozornost je věnována vlivu sexuálníchsteroidů na distribuci tukové tkáně i vlivu tukové tkáně na sexuální steroidy, významumnožství tělesného tuku v pubertě, u postmenopauzálních žen, při užívání hormonální substi-tuce a při syndromu polycystických ovarií.

A review dealing with the relationship between female obesity and disorders of the menstrualcycle and hormonal changes in obese women. Attention is paid to the effect of sex steroids onthe adipose tissue distribution, the amount of body fat during puberty, in postmenopausalwomen, women taking hormonal substitution therapy and in the polycystic ovary syndrome.
