Specifics of arterial hypertension in elderly patients

Overview

Arterial hypertension is common in the elderly. It is due to the arterial stiffness, neurohormonal and autonomic dysregulation, the ageing kidney and unhealthy lifestyle. A correct diagnosis of hypertension is important. There are wide evidence based possibilities for treatment of hypertension in elderly patients.
