Antioxidant Activity of Total Salivain Relation to the State of the Marginal Gingiva
Antioxidačná aktivita celkovej slinyv závislosti od stavu marginálnej gingívy
V celkovej sline dobrovoľných darcov s rôznym indexom krvácivosti medzizubných papíl sana základe schopnosti sliny inhibovať peroxidáciu lipidov stanovila jej antioxidačná aktivita.Medziskupinami s vyšším, resp. nižším indexom krvácivosti sa hodnota aktivity významne nelíšila, rovnako ani hladina kyseliny močovej, označovanej za hlavný antioxidant celkovej sliny.
Klíčová slova:
gingíva – zápal – index krvácivosti – slina – antioxidačná aktivita

Overview
In the total saliva of voluntary donors with a different index of bleeding time ofthe interdental papillae the authors assessed, on the basis of saliva the capacity to inhibit lipidperoxidation, its antioxidant activity. Between the groups with a higher and lower index ofhaemorrhagic diathesis the activity did not differ significantly. The same applies to the uricacid level, described as the main antioxidant of total saliva.
Key words:
gingive – inflammation – bleeding index – saliva – antioxidant activity
