Comprehensive Care of Children with Diabetes Mellitus
KOMPLEXNÍ PÉČE O DÍTĚ S DIABETEM MELLITUS
Článek pojednává o současné léčbě dětského diabetu. Zabývá se obtížnou metabolickou kontrolou v souvislostis problematikou jednotlivých věkových skupin. S ohledem na nebezpečí život ohrožujících akutních komplikacía na vysoké riziko závazných chronických diabetických komplikací klade důraz na nutnost nejen kvalitní inzulinovéléčby, ale zejména na nutnost kvalitního a kvantitativně dostupného monitorování metabolické kontrolya systém výchovy a vzdělávání diabetického pacienta.

The author discusses contemporary care of child diabetes. She deals with the difficult metabolic control inconjunction with different age groups. With regard to the risk of life threatening acute complications and the highrisk of severe chronic diabetic complications the author emphasizes the necessity not only of high standardinsulin treatment but in particular the necessity of high standard and quantitatively available monitoring ofmetabolic control and the system of training and educating diabetic patients.
