Tonsicellectomy in the Cold and Warmth
Tonzilektómie za tepla a za studena
Souhrn:
Autori analyzujú problém zvýšeného počtu pacientov s miestnymi komplikáciami chronickej tonzilitídy, najmä paratonzilárneho zápalu v posledných rokoch. Porovnávajú dobu stanovenia správnej diagnózy po objavení sa prvých príznakov, spôsob liečby a druh použitých antibiotík v období 2002-2004. V porovnaní s výsledkami našej predošlej štúdie z obdobia 1988-1997 pozorovali nárast počtu pacientov s paratonzilárnym zápalom. Z daných údajov sa vyvodzujú závery pre zlepšenie situácie.

Summary:
The authors analysed a problem with increased number of patients with local complications of chronic tonsillitis, particularly paratonsillar inflammation, recently.
The period of establishing a correct diagnosis after the first symptoms had appeared, treatment and a kind of administered antibiotics during 2002-2004 were compared. In comparison to results of a previous study (1988-1997) an increase of number of patients with paratonsillar inflammation was found. The data have been used as conclusion for improvement of this situation.
