Young’s Modified Operation in the Treatment of RelapsingEpistaxis in Hereditary Teleangiectasia
Youngova modifikovaná operacev terapii recidivující epistaxeu hereditární hemorhagickételeangiektazie(Kazuistika)

Pacient se základní diagnózou hereditární hemorhagické teleangiektazie byl přijat nanaše pracoviště pro těžkou recidivující epistaxi. Byla provedena Youngova modifikovaná operace.Jedná se o poměrně málo známou operační metodu, která se používá jako pravděpodobně defini-tivní řešení epistaxe při těžkém průběhu základní choroby. V kazuistice prezentujeme operačnítechniku a je hodnocen stav pacienta 12 měsíců po operaci.

S u m m a r y:
We present the case of a 65-year-old man with severe epistaxis under the diagnosis ofhereditary haemorrhagic teleangiectasia. We performed Young’s modified procedure (closure ofnostrils). This presents a not well known surgical procedure of epistaxis in patients with severesymptoms of HHT. In the article we present the surgical techniques and the follow-up 12 monthsafter the operation.
