Development of European Medicine up to Vesalius (16th century)
VÝVOJ EVROPSKÉ MEDICÍNY DO VESALIA (16. STOLETÍ)
Mýtické Řecko, egyptská Alexandrie a antický Řím se staly kolébkou starověkého lékařství, ve kterém se počátkyanatomie a fyziologie spojovaly s přírodní filozofií velkých osobností Hippokrata a Galéna. Moderním vkladem,lékařskou chemií, přispěli k evropské medicíně arabští lékaři Rhazes a Avicena. Až překonáním církevního dogma-tismu, objevením Nového světa a vznikem univerzit se otevřela cesta k vědeckému pokroku, který započal velkýchirurg a lékař Andreas Vesalius.
