Overview
In this article I introduce and citate from recommendations of Alzheimer Europe on care of persons with dementia during the current pandemic of covid-19. The first one, the Alzheimer Europe position regarding the allocation of scarce medical resources for intensive care services during the covid-19 pandemic, is warning against possible discrimination of persons with dementia (and other similarly vulnerable groups of people). The second one provides recommendations on promoting the wellbeing of people with dementia and carers during the covid-19 pandemic. Also this material is based on experiences of persons with dementia, their formal and informal caregivers and it provides recommendations not only for themselves but also for governments and Alzheimer's societies.
