Overview
By way of introduction, the article reviews the pathophysiology of lower extremity varices and outlines current methods of examination. All the possible treatment options (from minimally invasive therapy to complex stripping) are discussed based on the pathophysiological genesis. The correct choice of treatment prevents recurrences and facilitates the patient’s early return to active life.
