V článku je diskutovaný recentně vydaný dokument, týkající se diagnostiky, léčby a prevence chronické obstrukční plicní nemoci (CHOPN), který vydala v listopadu 2006 Globální iniciativa o chronické obstrukční plicní nemoci (GOLD) pod patronací WHO, z pohledu současné situace na poli CHOPN v České republice.
