News in treatment modalities of hypertension
Aktuality v léčbě hypertenze II.
Práce podává přehled nových léčebných postupů hypertenze provázené diabetes mellitus 2. typu, dále upozorňuje na příznivé účinky látek blokujících renin-angiotenzin-aldosteronový systém v prevenci vzniku nového diabetu při léčbě hypertenze a na význam těchto látek v léčbě nemocných s ICHS. Také upozorňuje na význam hypolipidemické léčby statiny u hypertenze.

Overview
The article presents an outline of new treatment modalities of hypertension associated with diabetes mellitus type 2; it underlines positive effects of drugs blocking renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system in prevention of new onset of diabetes during treatment of hypertension and importance of these substances in treatment of ischemic heart disease. Furthermore, it draws attention to the importance of hypolipidemic treatment by statins in hypertensive patients.
