Choroidal detachment as a first sign of a haematological malignancy
Odchlípení cévnatky jako první příznak hematologické malignity
Odchlípení cévnatky, neboli choroidální ablace, je příznakem široké škály onemocnění, včetně etiologie nádorové. V příspěvku autoři prezentují kazuistiku 77-letého pacienta s choroidální ablací, u kterého se jako příčina očního onemocnění po rozsáhlém celkovém vyšetření prokázal hyperviskózní syndrom vedoucí k diagnóze mnohočetného myelomu.

Overview
Choroidal detachment may be a symptom of broad spectrum of diseases, including haematological malignancy. In this paper, the authors present a case report of a 70-year old man with choroidal detachment, in whom hyperviscosity syndrome as the cause of eye problems has lead to the diagnosis of multiple myeloma.
