Risks and expectations in health care
Rizika a naděje v péči o zdraví
Je vyložen pojem rizika, metody jeho výpočtu a srovnání. Rizikové zdravotní faktory jsou výrazně sociálně podmíněny. Autor uvádí hlavní sociální determinanty zdraví a připomíná jejich návaznost na historický vývoj společnosti. Chudoba a sociální dezintegrace je označena za závažný rizikový sociálně zdravotní faktor a je připomenuta individuální i sociální hodnota zdraví.

Overview
Explained are the concept of risk, methods of its calculation and comparison. Health risk factors are markedly conditioned socially. The author presents the major social determinants of health, and points to their connection with the historical development of a given society. Poverty and social disintegration are designated as a serious social health risk factor, and brought out are the individual’s and the social values of health.
