Výskyt viscerální formyleishmaniózy v České republice

Autorka popisuje průběh onemocnění, diferenciální diagnostiky a léčby pacienta po návratuz pobytu v zahraničí. Původcem infekčního onemocnění jsou paraziti rodu Leishmania, k přeneseníchoroby dochází po bodnutí hmyzem, inkubační doba trvá týdny až měsíce. Autorkazdůrazňuje význam odebírání epidemiologické anamnézy, a to i o pobytech v „méně rizikových“oblastech, s ohledem na dlouhou inkubační dobu onemocnění.

Overview

The author describes the course of the disease, differential diagnosis and treatment of a patientafter return from abroad. The causal agent of the disease are parasites of the genus Leishmania,the disease is transmitted by insect stings, the incubation periodmay be as long as months. Theauthor emphasizes the importance of the epidemiological history as well as reports on the stayin „less risky“ areas with regard to the long incubation period of the disease.
