Uncommon Manifestationof Tuberculosis in a Female Patient after Renal Transplantation

Overview
Organ transplant recipients are at the increased risk of infection complications. Herein, wepresent a case of unusual localisation of tuberculosis in renal allograft recipient treated by combinationof cyclosporine A, mycophenolate mofetil and steroids. After the non specific prodromes, surgery due to ileus discovered ileocaecal tumour. Microscopically tuberculosis inflammatoryprocess with ulcerations of the intestinal mucosa and caseification of the lymphatic nodes, insteadof the expected lymphoma was proved to be present. We are discussing the incidence oftuberculosis in relation to immunosuppressive therapy as well as possible pathways of tuberculosistransmission.
