Surgical Repair of Lagophthalmos using Gold Weight
Chirurgická úprava lagoftalmuimplantáciou zlatého závažia
Práca sa zaoberá problematikou rehabilitácie lézie hornej vetvy tvárového nervu.Prezentuje chirurgickú techniku – implantáciu zlatého závažia do hornej mihalnice,ktorá sa použila u 17 pacientov. V práci sa zdôrazňuje význam okuloplastickejchirurgie, ktorá by sa mala postupne stať integrálnou súčasťou liečby paréztvárového nervu.

This study concerns the problematics of upper branch of n. VII rehabilitation.Surgical technique is presented which involves implantation of gold weight intothe upper eyelid which was used in 17 patients. The study emphasizes importanceof oculoplastic surgery which should become an integral part of management offacial nerve paresis.
