Histopathological Picture after Chemical Injury, Role of Limbal Epithelial BasalCells
Histopatologický obraz po chemickom poranení oka, úloha limbálnych kmeňových buniek
Cieľomtejto experimentálnej práce je overiť významlimbálnych buniek pri hojenípoleptanej rohovky. Predmetom experimentu boli angorské králiky. Poleptaniebolo realizované 2,5 N roztokom NaOH, ktorý pôsobil 50 sekúnd a následne bolvypláchnutý prúdom fyziologického roztoku, kontinuálne po dobu 5 minút. Eutanázia králikov bola urobená 24 hodín po poleptaní, tkanivo bolo fixované v 10%formalínovomroztoku. Pre histologické spracovanie bola použitá metódazaliatímdo parafínu a vzorky boli ofarbené hematoxilínozínom. Na prezentovanýchvzorkách možno pozorovať ložiskové zápalové reakcie s prítomnosťou makrofágov, v limbálnej oblasti s infiltráciou okrúhlojadernými bunkami.

The aim of this experimental study was to evaluate the role of limbal stem cellson corneal wound healing. The experimental objects were New Zealand whiterabbits. Damage to the cornea was caused by 2,5 N NaOH solution for 50 sec. andwas subsequently washed out by saline solution . The rabbits were euthanased 24hours after alkaly burn and the tissue was fixated in 10% formalin. The sampleswereembeddedinparaffin andstainedwithhaematoxilin andeosin. Thespecimenshowed focal inflammatory reaction with the presence of macrophages an round - nucleated cells in the limbal area.
